Data We Collect
PassChef does not collect any personal data. When you use the app, the following information is stored solely on your device and is never transmitted to any server, third party, or the developer:
- Your saved password entries (site name, username, password, link)
- Backup date (kept only in local UserDefaults)
Encryption
All password data is stored on your device encrypted with the AES-256-GCM algorithm. The encryption key is kept only inside the iCloud Keychain and is not accessible to the developer in any way.
iCloud Usage
The app uses iCloud Keychain only to sync the encryption key across your devices. Password contents are not sent to iCloud. If you choose to create a backup, you save the resulting encrypted file to the location of your choice (iCloud Drive, computer, etc.) yourself.
Third-Party Services
PassChef contains no analytics, ads, or third-party SDKs. It does not require an internet connection.
Face ID
The app uses Face ID to unlock. Biometric data is processed only inside Apple's secure hardware; the app has no access to this data.
Children's Privacy
PassChef does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Policy Changes
Any changes to this policy will be published on this page. Continued use of the app means that you accept the changes.
