About PassChef
PassChef is a local, offline password manager for iOS. All passwords are stored on your device and encrypted with AES-256 GCM. No internet connection is required, no data is ever sent to external servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
PassChef uses Face ID or Touch ID to authenticate. Simply launch the app and follow the biometric prompt. There is no username or password to log in with.
All passwords are stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. Nothing is sent to the internet or any external server.
PassChef automatically backs up an encrypted copy of your passwords to your personal iCloud Drive. This allows you to sync data between your own devices. Only you can decrypt this backup — not even Apple can read it.
The free tier allows up to 10 passwords. PassChef Pro removes this limit and gives you unlimited password storage. Pro is available as a monthly ($0.99/mo) or annual ($5.99/yr) subscription.
Open PassChef → Settings → tap "Restore Purchases". Your subscription will be restored automatically.
Tap the backup icon in the top-right corner of the password list. You can export an encrypted backup file and save it anywhere you like — iCloud Drive, Files, etc.
If you have iCloud sync enabled, your passwords are automatically restored on a new device. You can also restore from a manual backup file if you have one saved.
Open the iOS Settings app → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → PassChef Pro → Cancel Subscription.
